Victoria Baths is a grade two listed building dating from 1905 on Hathersage Road in Manchester.

The work was specialist and driven by a core focus to conserve the historic fabric of the building and secure the building for future use.

The building had been out of use for many years and the resulting decay had jeopardised the stability of the building's fabric. Lloyd Evans Prichard and a wider design team were commissioned to carry out works titled Phase One to secure the building and preserve the historic fabric. Phase One funds were limited and as such, work was restricted to the front section, leaving the three swimming baths to be addressed under Phase Two. The work included the use of specialist techniques to replace, repair and protect the existing building structure, constructed of wrought iron, steel, brick and terracotta, early concrete and timber.

The conservation works extended over a broad scope ranging from the external fabric such as roof slate, brick work, terracotta, lead and copper right through to highly specialised items such as decorative stained glass and leaded windows, faience work to the Russian and Turkish baths, lime plaster, fine timber screens and terrazzo and mosaic floors.
