The Garden House is a unique property specifically designed for the needs of its owner.

The House is situated within the historic landscape of an ancient family estate. The building traverses the grade two listed garden wall of the estate and incorporates a section of the original house believed to have been built of the remnants of the main Hall's Ball Wing demolished in 1910.

The house was designed to satisfy the client's requirements for privacy and security while including large expanses of glazing that open out onto panoramic views of the walled garden and landscape beyond. The house, while apparently simple in its appearance has been designed to limit it's energy use and includes several elements that ensure it has an holistic occupation of the site, these include ground source heating, solar heated hot water, rainwater harvesting, super insulated envelope and underfloor heating.

Aside from the technology the building quality is reflected in its decedent finishes which include walnut doors and panelling, a green marble bathroom, an elegantly expressed timber frame structure and soaring hand finished stone fireplace and chimney.
