Location Cheshire
Status Conservation Area
Summary Repair and conversion of barn
Completion 2005
Build Value £250,000

The East Barn formerly provided milking parlour and animal feed storage for the Home Farm but had become disused and partly repaired by previous owners.

The practice was instructed to complete the repair and fit out the barn to high standards to provide an extensive home office and guest accommodation for the main house which stands at right angles to the barn.

The building was fitted with insulated dry linings to walls, underfloor heating, kitchen, bathroom and a substantial amount of bespoke joinery. The interior design scheme would be characterised as "contemporary chic" based on blond colours and rich textures.

The home office area provides office space for the client and five staff and has proved to be flexible in use, comfortable and convenient.
